Reading and playing every song, autoscroll, transposition, capo, tuner, metronome, page turner and the shared folder are free, with no account. The Pro subscription (bought on Google Play) covers making and changing songs, the cloud library, bands and playing together, the web app and the watch remote. The F-Droid build has no paywall. - No account is needed to use the app. An account (an email address) is only for the cloud library, bands and the web app. - bandcue fetches no chord sheet on anyone's behalf: every song is one the user shared, pasted, opened, typed or chose from a chord-site search run inside the app. - Songs stay on the phone, and in a folder the user picks, unless the user turns on the optional cloud library, which stores songs as readable text on the author's server. The Play build has Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics behind a switch under Settings > Diagnostics; the F-Droid build has none. - An AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT can read and, if the user allows it, change their bandcue cloud library through an MCP connector at https://bandcue-app.gpm.name/mcp (OAuth sign-in on bandcue's web app; part of Pro). How to connect one: https://bandcue.gpm-apps.com/assistants/ - It works offline; a Wear OS watch remote is included in Pro. The app is available in English and Italian. ## Pages - [bandcue](https://bandcue.gpm-apps.com/): bandcue is an Android chord-sheet app for musicians: sheets scroll by themselves in time with the song, work offline, and stay in sync across the band. - [Assistants](https://bandcue.gpm-apps.com/assistants/): Connect Claude, ChatGPT or the assistant in your editor to your bandcue library. It also keeps setlists and lets a band share songs and play them together on stage. Source: https://bandcue.gpm-apps.com/ ### Is bandcue free? The download is free. Reading and playing every song, autoscroll, transposition, capo, tuner, metronome and the shared folder are free, with no account and no limit. The Pro subscription, bought on Google Play, is for making and changing songs, the cloud library, bands and the web app; the F-Droid build has no paywall. Source: https://bandcue.gpm-apps.com/ ### Do I need an account? No. The app works without one. You only need an account, signed in with an email address, for the cloud library, bands and the web app at https://bandcue-app.gpm.name. Source: https://bandcue.gpm-apps.com/ ### What data does bandcue collect and where is it stored? Your songs are files on your phone, and in a folder you choose. Data leaves the device only if you send a report, turn on the cloud library (songs, as readable text, and their MIDI backing tracks are stored on the author's server) or make an account. The Play build also has crash reports and usage statistics behind a switch in Settings, the F-Droid build has none. See the [privacy policy](https://bandcue.gpm-apps.com/privacy/). Source: https://bandcue.gpm-apps.com/ ### Can bandcue control a mixer or an amp modeller? Yes, with Pro: a Behringer XR16 mixer and a HeadRush Prime, over the stage's Wi-Fi (the Prime also over USB-MIDI), and any amp or pedalboard that takes MIDI, through a profile for it. Each song can bring back its rig, scene, tempo and mix, and buttons on the sheet change scenes, pedals and levels while you play. Only the phone the gear is set up on sends anything, and a control not yet tested on a real unit stays read-only. Source: https://bandcue.gpm-apps.com/ ### Can bandcue play a backing track? Yes, with Pro: attach an audio or MIDI file to a song and the sheet follows it part by part, in the song's key and tempo. A MIDI track can be mixed and edited instrument by instrument, and the words can be timed to the track line by line. On a stage only one phone plays it and the others follow. A MIDI track goes with its song to the cloud library, and on a band's song it is the whole band's; a recording stays on the phone. Yes, with Pro: Claude, ChatGPT or the assistant in an editor can connect to your cloud library at https://bandcue-app.gpm.name/mcp, an MCP connector. You allow it on bandcue's own page, choosing whether it may only read or also change songs, setlists and notes, and you can disconnect it from your account page at any time. What it reads goes to whoever runs the assistant. See the [assistants page](https://bandcue.gpm-apps.com/assistants/). Source: https://bandcue.gpm-apps.com/ ### Which Android versions does it run on? Android 8.0 or newer. A Wear OS watch can act as a remote for the stage, and the web app works in a browser on a computer. Source: https://bandcue.gpm-apps.com/ ### Does bandcue work offline? Yes. Songs are kept on the phone and scroll without a connection. The cloud library, bands and notifications need a network and catch up when it returns. Source: https://bandcue.gpm-apps.com/ ### How do I delete my account and data? In the app, go to Band tab, your account, Close this account. You can also write to apps@gpm.name from the address you signed in with. Songs on your phone are your own files and stay there. Details are on the [delete account page](https://bandcue.gpm-apps.com/delete-account/).
